The Tonawanda Soccer Club runs a house league program that
emphasizes skills and having fun. There are no standings kept and no
trophies in order to keep the pressure off our children.
There are three (3) divisions by age as follows:
Lower House – ages 4-6 that
play 5 v 5 on a small field without goalies
Upper House – ages 7-9 that play 6 v 6 on a small field with goalies
Premier House – ages 10-12 that play 8 v 8 on a small field with goalies
Teams are coached by
volunteers. All teams are coed. A jersey and shorts are provided to
each player. Teams are divided as equal as possible with
consideration for placement on teams with a certain coach or friend
where possible. Fees are kept low with the help of Corporate
Sponsors.
Practices start in early May. Games are played Saturday mornings from
the end of May to the first week of August. Weekday games are played
after school is out to free up weekends. Teams practice
one or two nights a week as determined by the coach.
